I'm 9 weeks post op today; in that time I've lost 52lbs and 20 inches from my body. My BMI is down 8 points. This has truly saved my life, very humbled & tearful!
Damn my brain/mind for psyching myself out for the last 3 weeks!!!!!!

Me too I am 2 mns post op. I am really sick of bought protein shakes chicken breast yogurt cottage cheese bananas and eggs. I have only lost 20lbs post op. I am worried. I want salad but not supposed to eat raw for 4 mns. I need to eat something that lasts. I fill up Quick but am hungry an hr later. I find low fat swiss cheese and deli ham or turkey does help. I am not eating beef too scared to
I know every surgeon is different but once I was at 6 weeks, I was back on everything and anything! I know right, easier said than done! So up until yesterday I was eating about 850 calories, getting at least 70 grams protein. Normally I would have been back to the doctor at 6 weeks but had a family emergency (nothing too extreme) and I had to push my appt to 9 weeks-so I was literally treading water thinking, "Am I doing this right?"
I input my food into MyFitnessPal which helps me a ton b/c you can change the calories, protein needed etc.
Breakfast is usually my protein shake, sometimes I make scrambled eggs & add some cheese, S&P and salsa---I'm not very creative with breakfast!
Lunch & Dinner-I've done Panera Chic noodle soup, grilled nuggets from Chic Fil A, shrimp, chili, just made Eggface's Mexican Bites so havent tried those yet-do you know about her site? theworldaccordingtoeggface it's a lifesaver!!! Continuing on with lunch/dinner I'll do lunchmeat & cheese, meatballs, fajitas, side salads, low carb (ie. no bun) Whopper Jr, cottage cheese, apple or 1/2 banana with PB (still using up my Jif but I have the PB2
-hate wasting!)
Yesterday at my appt I was told by my NUT to be at 1200 calories and 50% of those calories must come from healthy carbs (ie. fruits, veggies) I looked at her like OMG are you kidding? She said obviously you will have to play with stuff and figure out what works best for you. So my goal is 1000 calories.....that's about it right now, will see how I do! Did that help you at all?? I hope so!

You are doing great! It's so hard not to compare yourself to others but please don't! 20 pounds post op is fantastic! Look at the difference in our sizes, I have a crap ton more weight to lose than you so I'm losing more in the same amount of time. You are doing great, now eat beef!
