Hi All, I haven't posted in a while,but when I post I feel like I'm being negative.I'm 9 weeks post-op this week.Im still trying to balance every thing I need to do,protein,vitamins,water and trying new and healthy foods,truth is.I still don't feel all that great.I just was in the hospital over the weekend for kidney stones.NOT FUN.so far since surgery ( June 3 ) I have lost 50 pounds. Though it's not a huge amount,I am ok with it.learning this new lifestyle is a lot of work.most day I have to dig deep within my self to keep going.I will be joining the gym this week.so I guess I'm getting there.

Hi Peggy,
I am 5 wks post op, and I agree. This is definitely a lot more challenging then I ever thought. Sounds like you are doing a great job. Keep it up My taste buds are all messed up right now. I have NO desire to eat at all because nothing tastes good I am guessing it is from the reflux. Good luck

Peg,I had my surgery in Feb. I am just now at the 50 lb mark.. 6 months not 6 weeks. I would have jumped for joy with your loss since I am pretty hAppy with mine.

Had to have a large (2cm) kidney stone blasted in June. Not fun. Urologist recommended that a drink a shot of lemon juice every day. I just add it to my water. He said it would help more stones from forming. Have felt much better since they blasted the stone. You will to.

Hi Peggy! I am so sorry you are having a hard time of it. But 50lbs is fantastic!!!! I just hit the 50lb Mark but it took a bit longer than you. Feel better soon.

I'm with Aquajog...Pretty sure it took me twice as long to hit 50lbs!! Remember that to the rest of the world, losing 50 lbs is HUGE!!!!! Be gentle with yourself...You're doing great.

uh... that is a huge amount to lose!

I am a few years out, feel great but i felt fairly crappy the first say 12 weeks and I didn't even have the kidney stones going on. Hang in there, keep your eye on the prize and just know it gets easier.
