I am scheduled to have my G.S. surgery next week. With the rapid weight loss, I am concerned about my skin not being able to tighten as quickly. Does anyone who has had the surgery have suggestions (besides drinking water)?
Everyone is different.. your skin's elasticity, your age, genetics.. all of that come into play. Water is very important, but exercise, in my opinion.. is even more important. My skin kept up pretty well thru my weight loss, but even with some pretty extensive weight training, I am still finding that I need surgical assistance. I don't think it's possible to lose 100+ lbs and not end up in the same boat. It was ok at an 80-90lb loss for me, but here I stand, 126 lbs lighter.. and I'm pretty sure my jeans would be 1-2 sizes smaller if it weren't for the extra skin. Don't let that discourage you though.. everyone is different and it is a small price to pay at the end of it all
Good luck!
