I'd love to have a few friends around my age with a sleeve or thinking about it or in the process!
Need some people my age who can relate to what I've been through!
Pm me
Im 23! my age was one of the biggest things that made me think about not doing it but when I talk to everyone who is 40+ they all they the only regret they have is not getting it done sooner. I haven't gotten one done yet I have my consultation on Monday super excited!! how did everything go for you?
I am 43 and wish I had this done 10 years ago. In my 20's I could seem to maintain my weight but as soon as I hit around 33 - 35 it has just been out of control. I have my surgery on July 22!!!!!!!!!! Super excited. If you really feel like this is something you need to help you lose and maintain your weight then I say GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm 28, so a little older, but I had been thinking about WLS for about 2-3 years. When I was quite a bit younger, I was convinced I wouldn't do the surgery because I was thought the "natural way" was the only self-respecting thing to do. I think there is still quite a lot of stigma that revolves around bariatric surgery. It's really only a tool. I'm sure we all know someone (or many) who have had surgery and gained it all back. Best of luck!
I'm a bit older than you at 28, and I can tell you that I felt surgery was worth the risk to drastically improve the quality of my life while I am young! Congrats on your weight loss. You're doing awesome!
