well, I am finally sleeved... back home just a few hours ago. not alot of pain, just where the drain was. they took it out yesterday did leak test everything was great. Gas X worked well for me. still have a little bit leaking from drain open, but it is slowing. put some Steri-strips to keep closed and then bandage on top of that. Otherwise I am doing great so far. so far have not thrown up, but did get nauseous a couple of times but I think it was just gas. I hope

Ugh. The gas I think is the very worst part. But over all I feel good. Were on the same page I'm going to go pick up a heating pad tomarrow. Thank you for the idea.

Vikki, GasX strips also worked for me... I brought my heating pad, but I mainly used and still use the strips. I think I have finally stopped draining. I am trying to get the protein in my diet, but it is really hard to drink it. any suggestions? I am doing broth, jello, popsicles. Thought about adding my whey protein powder to my flavored water, what do you think?

Good to hear Nicole. Heat really helped me, I had gas in my shoulder that was awful. You must be home now, hope all is still going well.

Just got home this morning finally! Down 5 lbs! Feeling well today. Yesterday was a pretty bad day traveling though. I felt very sick after my drain was pulled out the night before last, but luckily it only lasted a day. Actually felt some hungar today for the first time since my procedure Monday.

Going to pick up my gasx strips right now. I'm still doing chicken broth, low calorie gatorade, water with crystal light and just started my protein I'm
using the Iso pure zero carb it's 50 g of protein and I use a shaker. I shake it up realy good than put it back in the fridge to make shure there is no air in it. I'm down 11 pounds today and very excited. Good luck!!

I should have got the boots too! but in a year out our foot sizes may change,I definitely know my calf size will shrink. Maybe everyone should return back to visit a year post op and do the things we couldn't do, eat a lil bit of the menu items that greeted you when you stepped off the elevator everyday. (maybe not)
I enjoyed the time I spent with the other ladies I met there, it was nice to bond with women that have gone through the similar weight issues as myself.
I am on the plane now heading back east. I was able to get over the border and to the airport by 9am. My original flight wasn't until 12:05 and then it was due to be delated. I called Southwest and begged to get on the soonest direct flight. I told them I was not 100% and needed to get home. It took some convincing and pleading, but the lady waved any fees and put me on the 11am direct flight. I literally welled up with emotions and started crying!! She looked at me kinda crazy and was like "ok your welcome". Then I sat down waiting to board and cried so hard my back started to hurt again. I just can't wait to get home and rest in my own bed!!

I got my Isopure zero carbs 50g protein shake at The vitamin Shoppe, you can google it online. But this morning I had a 11oz Atkins advantage (Cafe caramel shake) 15g protein 160calories and 2 carbs that was breakfast. I bought a pack of 4 at wallmart for under $6. There delicious just as good as a caramel frappé from starbucks.

Any one having left side Pain??? Around to your back on the lower/ mid (left side). If I don't sit a certian way my left side hurts and my back. Ouch

Yes my left side doesn't like me right now. I can only lay back at an incline or slightly to the right with a pillow. I also have a bruise on my left Hip. Looks like I wacked the table or something.
