    Unhappy Overwhelmed

So I met with the nutritionist for the first time today. I feel so overwhelmed! I have to meet with her a total of 3 more times before my paperwork can be submitted to my insurance for approval. She says that we aren't focusing on weight loss, at this point in the process (they'll be enough of that later, I suppose). But for now, she wants to focus on behavior modification such as stop drinking before meals and waiting 30 minutes post meal to eat, weighing my food and journaling it. I have got to get in the habits of doing that and I am afraid of failing at it.... It just seems like so much to take in, all at once.

Making changes that will last a lifetime are challenging, but YOU CAN DO THIS! My advise....take one day at a time. Don't look any farther than the day you have in front of you and make up your mind that you will overcome anything that is thrown your way. The absolute hardest part for me was learning to not drink with meals. I won't lie...two weeks post-op and I'm still struggling a bit with that one. Just don't give up on yourself before you've really even started.

    YOU'VE GOT THIS!!!!!

It's not that big of a deal. I remember that first day them giving me all that paperwork and throwing things around with the statement "for the rest of your life" and it seemed like a lot. Now that I'm into it, it's not a big deal. Like Imdee73 said, one day at a time and you can do this.

I think that the hardest thing or what I am going to have a problem with is measuring food and reading labels. Thanks for your support. It also looks like my surgery date will be sooner than I thought. The nutritionist this morning told me it could be as early as late October / early November. Hopefully after my birthday in October

It's a learning process, that is why you start now. If I can do it, you can do it.
