Default Are chewable vitamins a necessity?

I have already purchased all of the vitamins that my nutritionist told me to start and have been taking them religiously but the multivitamin and the calcium+D are HUGE pills.
After surgery are chewable forms necessary for larger pills and if so for how long?

I was told I had to do Flintstones chewables for the first 6 weeks. Then I was able to switch to regular vitamins. The doctor said it was fine to swallow them whole, however I felt more comfortable cutting them in half and still do!

Most physicians recommend chewables for several weeks. I would check with the nutritionist to see if chewables are available.

I swallowed everything except vitamin c and the bariatric multi. I chewed those 2 for about a month, switched the c to pills and I'm working on my last bottle of chewable multi. I got really sick of how sour and sweet those 2 were. Everything goes down fine after a couple months. Celebrate off of amazon for around 19.00 for a month and a half worth of bariatric multi vitamins...the rest at walmart

Mine said chewable until 6 weeks. Or you can crush them. Both were a struggle. The Walmart brand of multi vitamin is comparable to Centrum adult and way cheaper. They also have a petite calcium citrate. You have to take 2, 4x a day for the 1500 mg required, but easier to swallow. At 3 months I can just now swallow the big calcium.

I take chewables and liquids even a year out -- I just can't handle swallowing big pills any more, and it was never a problem for me before! I think it's an individual thing.

You can take Celebrate capsules or Bariatric advantage capsules.
