Go to bottom of forums and you will find media hound where you can make suggestions etc......tell them what you need. Good luck. Sorry this has not been a positive experience for you. Stuff happens then it passes...maybe stay around for a while and see. This site has been my support since surg. over 2 years.
You are right Joanne, I let someone's rude and insensitive comments get to me and I think it is just because I am so hungry right now and feeling weak & vulnerable. People need to realize that the people who come on here, especially those who are close to having their surgeries or just had them, are going through the toughest stage and not looking good yet to at least help them feel the benefits of all this yet so they need support and kindness and not mean rudeness. that is just the cherry on top of everything else they are going through right now and they come on here to try to get strength and support from those who have done it already.
Good luck, Amella - before you know it, you will be 6 months post-op and doing the happy dance!
I'll be dancing with you!

I think you can go to somebody's profile and ignore them if they are negative or not supportive.
Just "ignore" the folks whose personalities clash with yours. Good fences make good neighbors....
Best NSV - fitting on a kid's amusement park ride with my 4 yr old grandson!
CFIDS =Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) Also dx with post-bariatric reactive hypoglycemia; and chronic gastritis (both sleeve complications). Permanently disabled.
Start weight 335, down to 218, up during gastritis. Have accepted there is no way to lose it with my hypoglycemia. Current weight 260. Currently doing 10 day sleeve reset and determined to get back down to my post surgical weight or close to it.
I had an incident where I felt very offended. Looking back I can see how someone not knowing me could take my words and be unnecessarily cruel. Since then we have mended fences and as I get closer to my date of surgery I think she’ll actually be a big help. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Life’s too short and we are making a huge change.

Please don't go. You are as important to us as we hope to be for you. Your comments are important. We are all invested in the success of each other.
If someone has hurt you, ignore them - go to their profile and there is an actual button that says "add to ignore list" underneath their picture. That way you do not need to read anything they say anymore. (I don't know if they are sent your message that you have been added to an ignore list since thankfully, I have never been ignored) BUT there is a sign that says their posts have been blocked each time they say something.
