I think most peoples skinny pics are true or maybe that's their motivation picture and it helps.

I just had my band out due to the port sticking out badly and I will be getting sleeved still with my BMI sitting at 22. (Which I worked hard to get to).
Most will say "why don't you just keep eating healthy and exercise"? I do, but with my band now out, my brain is telling my body that I am hungry more then not. The band/sleeve is a great tool to help stop the over eating and constant hunger feeling. I say everyone big or small has their own story and if there is something that will help with not having to fight a daily battle or not go back to what they were in the first place, why not.
They say we all can do it with diet and exercise, so why do any of us do it?
Just saying.

yes .. saying some folks skinny pics can be found in google image search.... and i wish i could find the super model that had the sleeve.. i read somewhere that Rosie O'Donnell had the sleeve done.... she is looking great

Hi Merc - thanks for posting your story and hopefully it will help other's. I had a friend who had lapband - but her port kept flipping and it wasn't working. She had the Gastric By Pass Revision and doing just fine.

I am curious about one thing though. I understand wanting the port out because it was sticking out - but why did you need a sleeve when you were already at a healthy weight? I think you mentioned that you didn't want to go back to your previous eating habits? That's understandable and I get that; however you probably would have gotten way too small and that couldn't be healthy. You look Fabulous and I have faith that you will maintain by eating well and exercising regularly.

I do agree that you were misled and that you deserve to get some of your money returned. It also doesn't sound like you were treated fairly and I would have a problem with that as well.

Note: Folks - this is a site for support, great ideas and sometimes to vent. Let's be fair to everyone, whether we agree with them or not. Discussions can take place for understanding as well, but we have to be careful and to be nice. Remember, it's not what you say, it's how you say it.
