    Question Skin questions!!

I am only 20 and I worry about how my body is going to look after I lose all the weight (surgery is June 12th). I was big (low 200s) a few years ago and lost a bunch of weight and my skin handled it pretty well, but I gained all the weight back plus more. I was wondering what other younger people have experienced with their skin? Everyone tells me it should be pretty elastic. I'm just nervous about having a bunch of extra skin. Don't get me wrong, I would rather be smaller with loose skin than the way I am now, but it still worries me. It may sound silly but I am single and I worry about meeting a guy when I'm thin. I would be scared they would be grossed out by the excess skin! Any suggestions/experiences?

At your age and weight, I'm quite sure you will snap back. But not as well after age 25.

If they are grossed out by it then they are probably a shallow, narrow-minded jerk you dont need anyway!! hehe
Do this for you, and embarce all that comes with it. You will be healthier inside and thats what matters.

    ^^^Yes. THIS^^^
And I worry about the same thing, (except I am 47 and had been overweight since childhood). I look GREAT IN my clothes, but out of them... Not so confident. I know it's better than I make it out to be. We are all our own worst enemy! Haven't crossed that bridge yet, (divorced 4 years ago), but trying to remember the quote above as I wade back into the dating pool!

Don't worry about hurting my feelings because I guarantee you not one bit of my self esteem is tied up in your acceptance.

I'm 47, I've been overweight since I was a teen, and this scares me. My husband is fabulous about it, and he's seen "after" shots of people about my size, but still... ::shudder::

Someone said, "Every perfect man deserves a perfect woman". Tell him to look in the mirror.
