15 months along, still losing weight

Wow, I have forgotten about these forums! I am 15 months through my journey, and it has been such a hard struggle. My surgery wasn't easy, I became intolerant to a lot of foods after wards, such as protein, whey, seafood, lactose ect, so protein in my diet is nearly none existent. I have lost 60 kgs (132 pounds) and currently weight in at 47 kgs (103.4) My sleeve surgeon said I would never get below (65 kgs) or 143 pds I hope I have got the conversion right. I have to shop in the kids section here is Australia as they do not have small small ladies clothing. I had skin removal done on my thighs and arms as well. My arms look great but my thighs have been giving me hell with a pocket on the inside of my thigh retaining fluid and I have to get it drained once a week. The surgeon wants to reoperate, but I am not prepared for that at the moment. Everyone says I am way to thin, and I know I am but I cannot gain weight. I eat every 2 hours but the amounts I can eat are no more than 2 tablespoons of food. I can eat pasta's and I eat a LOT of lollies too. If I had my time over, i would not do this again, but it has worked for so many. I wish you all the best and look forwards to reading everyones stories and catching up

I'm sorry you've had such a difficult time. Many people develop intolerance's, but yours seem to be more than normal. Yes, your math is correct. How much exercise are you doing and are you making sure you net enough calories? Also, how tall are you - what is your current BMI? I'm not a big fan of nutritionists, but it might be worth going to see a bariatric one and see if they have any suggestions.

Hi Ximm, I have been to one, who told me I was being ridiculous and should just eat protein and drink protein drinks and stop fussing. I dont think hives and red rash, violent diarrhea is fussing tho? I got tested and the doctors told me if I was to eat certain things I needed to take anti histamines before hand and keep an epi pen on me. I take in app 1200 calories a day, but exercise. I dont have the energy for, but I do do normal stuff like mow and walk my dogs ect. I just want to stop losing weight....and I never thought I would be saying that! LOL I am studying naturopthy at the moment, and now am consuming a lot of leafy greens and all natural foods as I have now got a hydroponics system set up, so grow all my own foods. I had to have the surgery as I have MS and a heart disease, and my specialist was worried I would become immobile due to my weight and the MS. Happy to report tho, I do feel a lot more mobile and its for the best thanks for the reply

Why dot you try to get those shakes they give patients in hospital to gain weight?

I'm so sorry you've had such a tough go of it. Sounds like you've been through a lot and are still struggling. I don't have any advice for you, but wanted to let you know I'll say some prayers for you.
