Is the Pre Op Liquid Diet Required?

Hello,

I was approved for the Gastric Sleeve yesterday( Surgery date 11-23-15)- I was told I did not have to do the Pre Op liquid diet. Has any body been told this? Is this correct information???

My surgery date is the same day as yours and my doctor requires a2 week pre op diet so my liver will shrinkBut I think different doctors different requirements.

Different surgeons require different programs, so I'd just do what your surgeon tells you. My only restriction was keeping my diet under 1,000 calories a day, starting at about 2 weeks pre-op. But many others on here have had to do liquid-only diets, or shakes twice a day and 1 regular meal, etc. etc. Some had to start a month pre-op -- others, just a few days pre-op. Lots of variations.

hey how did your surgery go mines went really wel im already up and moving my pain was very mild tender but very managable
