I am 9 weeks post surgery and I am not losing weight. I originally lost 24 pounds and now I've hit a plateau where I have not lost any weight for 5 weeks. Anyone go through this? Suggestions!
I'm at exactly 4 months today since my surgery and this is the second plateau I've gone through. The first lasted about 3 weeks and I've been in this stall for about a month now. It's frustrating but I just keep going about my life. I try to focus less on it and only weigh myself once a week now instead of almost every day. I feel good, I eat what I can, so the rest is out of my control and my body will do what it will. Now my aim is more exercise. Chin up!
You will find many "stall" stories and ways that people helped their body start losing again. Some of the things recommended are to look at your protein and water consumption. Also be sure you aren't exercising too much. I'm sure if you search the site you will find many more ideas.
Good Luck - Bonnie
My only suggestion is to keep following your doctor's guidelines, stay with teh plan and let you body have time to adjust. Some times it takes a few weeks. But it will happen.

I'll be 2 months on the 19th and I am facing that 1-2 pounds that come off and then come back on. I hate this. It is miserable and I know that I am doing good with my meals and tracking them. I'm trying to figure out what I could be doing wrong.
I'm 2 months post op as well, and have lost about 30 lbs in that time, 42 lbs over 10 weeks (>18% weight loss). Over the past 2 weeks I've gained/lost 1.5 lbs or so, so I know my body's struggling to make it to the next level. I don't know what your losses are, but consider what your body has been through and the possible dramatic changes. It makes sense to consult with your nut/doc to make sure you're taking advantage of maximizing your weight loss. For some of us, things just go a bit slower. Exercise has definitely been key to cause my weight loss to progress (interval training help to confuse your body). I find protein has been more of a struggle since I've weened off the shakes for the most part, so you may want to evaluate how much protein you're actually getting. Good luck!
