Default Great tips from a Newbie to another!

Okay, this may be REALLY old news for the veterans on this site but for me, this is brand new!

I was really struggling with getting enough protein and for some reason the protein shakes that I LOVED before WLS were not going down too easy. I know that will change soon, but in the meantime, I found a few easy things that go down well and are packed with Protein!!

    1. Pocket Protein - 2 Ounces of liquid protein. 60 Calories and 15 Grams of Protein. Tastes like sour candy and has a thin, syrupy texture. This cost me about a $1.75 at our local grocery store, HEB in Austin, TX. It was located with all the other health food products.

    2. ISOPURE Protein Water. This 20 ounce bottle of ZERO CARB water is loaded with 40 grams of protein! I got the Grape Frost flavor and it was similar to Grape Gatorade! A little pricey at $5.98 a bottle but this will last me for a few days! I also found this at our grocery store but I know its sold at GNC as well.

Hope this helps and if you all know of anything else that is better or just as good, please let me know!!!

I Love Garden of Life Raw protein and Raw Fit. Protein comes from sprouted seeds, not processed isolates.
As for RTD shakes, I could never stomach them straight...too thick and sweet. Try diluting them 1/2 and 1/2 with water or skim milk. Ie 11oz. Premier Protein chocolate with 10oz skim milk gives you 1/3 of your daily fluid requirement, 40 G protein and tastes like chocolate milk.
Add PB2 powder and skim milk to vanilla shakes for a different flavor and more protein.
Add Mio or Dasani water flavor drops to your shakes for more variety.
THANK YOU!! This helps me so much! God Bless!!!
