Elbow Surgery before Sleeve

I may have to have surgery on my elbow due to Ulnar Neuritis, but not sure about doing it before my sleeve surgery. I am worried about doing it after sleeve surgery. Elbow surgery is a workers comp case and I am afraid they will want to do the Ulnar release soon and I haven't told anyone at work about the sleeve. I prefer they not know. Any advise?

I guess it would depend on how long it would take to heal from the elbow surgery and if you will have help. If it takes a long time, then I would do it maybe two months after the sleeve surgery. If it's really quick, then do it close to each other. Remember that many doctors won't put you under twice close together, so I would get your surgeon's opinion, they will know best.

Good luck on both your surgeries. I had two a week apart, one for the sleeve and one on my knee and it was not fun, but you will survive.

I would deal with your elbow, first.

Are you getting your ulnar nerve transposed? I had that done on my right arm due to too much scar tissue from multiple surgeries on my shattered elbow.

Ulnar neuritis, not sure what procedure would be done. Waiting for worker's comp to approve surgery. According to my ortho doc, should be about 3 weeks recovery. My sleeve is set for 6/30. I was concerned also about having 2 surgeries close together. If I can do the elbow before the sleeve, I would be out on worker's comp and could recover from sleeve without have to miss more time from work. But with the way my comp has been working, I may not find out if surgery is approved before 6/30/14.
