I read this thread with some interest...
Quest bars are not a favorite of mine. Neither are any of the other brands. That might be because I never was in to sweets. IDK :-/
At my 1 year surgiversary appointment it was suggested by my nutritionist to eliminate this type of protein and stick with real food protein.
That being said... I will sometimes carry high protein jerky in my saddle bag when we’re going to be in the wind all day.
I agree that if it’s a trigger or an obsession, it’s got to go!
Why are we responding from a post from 2014?
I had that same Quest bar addiction for a while after my surgery- similar to all the food addictions that brought me to weight loss surgery to begin with!
I avoid bars now but also noticed their formula changed and they do not taste nearly as good as they used to. Luckily!
