Thank you to everyone for your well wishes!

Yesterday I had a private room, but will be sharing starting later today. More patients coming through. I'm just so tired. I can only sleep on my back, and fall asleep because I have to. I'm a stomach sleeper. Today they're going to have me drink something disgusting so they can check for stomach leaks. Had a shower and they put fresh bandages on. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is delicious here....ice chips! Not hungry, anyway. I think tomorrow I begin bouillon. When I go home I get protein shakes, yogurt, milk, clear soups and jello. I'm looking forward to the nonfat yogurt. I love it! Greek style, too. I have to take teensy bites. The surgeon came in today and said everything went perfect. I feel better today. Never had gas pains to speak of. I would like to get back to the hotel and on home, but think I should take advantage of this time.

I'm glad all is going good!
at the hotel you'll get a ton of pillows....prop the pillows around you and start by trying to sleep on your side . I didn't have any pains and I think I was able to sleep on my stomach about a week after I got home - but having the pillows help!
the first drink they have you drink isn't too bad...but the one they have you drink while doing the xtra is gross!
You'll be at the hotel having broth and sitting by the pool before you know it!!

Dmeredith, thank you for the encouragement. I didn't have much gas pain at all. Stomach area sore. I look forward to sleeping on it! He sure is a great doctor. So glad I chose him!
