Default Is this successfu long terml for women with PCOS?

Hello! I am very new to this forum. I have been considering WLS for a long time due to my ongoing weight issues mostly brought on by my Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I suffer all symptoms; weight gain, adult acne, male pattern hair growth, etc. Is there anyone on here that has PCOS that can speak to the success long term?

I think if you check in the Groups section of the forum, you'll find there has been a group for people with PCOS. I'm not sure how active it is now, but if you message some of the people on there, perhaps they will get back to you. I believe from memory some people have commented not only on weight loss, but fertility improvements as well. Good luck!

I have PCOS and I'm only 20 days out from VGS and I've already loss 50lbs. Can't say much for the long term though but it's worth it so far. Best of luck

Hi there & welcome. I too have PCOS & thyroid & on and on. I am 6 wks out so can't speak to long term. What I do know though is excess weight makes pcos worse & vice versa. Getting weight off will help the symptoms. The sleeve process is a tool. If we do what it takes to get weight off then I think we'll see the results. I hope! All best to you!

Thanks, everyone! I appreciate the comments. I am just so ready to take control of this issue!!! My body has been out of whack and in control for too long!
