I'm on my way!!!!!

Hi Everyone
I'm so excited to be taking this step and moving towards a better me. I learned my surgery date today. It's May 8th and it can't get here fast enough. I haven't started my liquid diet but I'm thinking about starting it tomorrow and doing the full 3 weeks just to give myself that extra boost. Did anyone else start theirs this early??? My current weight is 251lbs and my goal is 140lbs!

Yes, I was scheduled for three weeks and was given clearance to start two weeks early. I am very glad that I did.

Mich-D 119lbs in 4months... WOW!!!!! You are awesome, thats amazing. Talk about motivating a girl lol. How much did you lose on your your post opt diet?

I started the pre-op diet on 12/1 and had surgery on 1/7/14. I think I lost 60 during that time. It melted off and I seriously debated if I needed the surgery. I'm glad I went ahead with the surgery. I have several stretches were my weight loss has slowed to allow my body to get used to the small me. I don't want call them stalls as thus far I have been rather fortunate in my weight loss. You will read many posts here that talk about people having food funerals, binging on all the foods they think they can no longer have after surgery. I took the other approach and prepped my body for MY best chance for success on getting to my goals. Yesterday my wife and I went to a local diner and had dinner for less than $9! I had a plain burger with French fries with a side of ranch dressing. Sure it took me two days to eat and I passed on most of the fries, but I don't have give up real food. I just do much smaller portions. Good luck and feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
