i am 4 days post surgery

I had my sleeve done on Monday 11/15/2010. So far so good. I am still very tender from the small incision spots, but that is getting better each day. The thing I am having the most difficult time with is eating enough. I think I am doing good and then realize I am VERY short on the protein. I am looking forward to next week when I can add different foods (blended). I know it hasn't been very long but so far I have had no regrets.

HI!! Welcome! Congratulations and don't worry you'll be fine. You just have to drink your protein shakes. take small sips and make sure you are taking the medicine the doctor is prescribing. i was sleeved 11/2 and am 3 weeks in. i have lost since wed a total of 23 lbs. if you ever have any questions let me know.

Hi Liz,

I had mine the exact same day. Day 2 was the worst. I didn't think I would make it past it, but I did. Now, it seems I am constantly hungry and constantly eating but, as you now, I eat about a half a cup of something and wait another couple of hours.

Hi liz. I am 4 weeks out today. I am still trying to eat enough. It is hard. One way I have found to get more protein is I get "Super Whey Protein Shot" from Walmart. They are only 2.9 oz and have 26 grams of protein and only 110 calories.They come in a tub and you can take them any where. So they are great for ones who are on the go too.

i read that those protein shots were not good for you, because they were not full protein ??? maybe i am wrong, but i just recall being told to stay away from those, that i wont get enough protein if i take them... not sure

IDK I have not heard that. I don't use them all the time mostly when I am out and about. They are eazy to cary around.
