Default The Sleeve and Pre-Menopause Help!!!

I'm so happy I found this thread. I have been search for an answer to my burst of uncontrollable hunger all of a sudden!! It’s not like anything I have experienced before. I don’t know if it’s from the surgery and a normal progression for me to be this far out? I really don’t think so because it’s an insatiable craving of sugar especially (I’ve never been a sweet eater), carbs and salty food. I can eat and go right back to the kitchen in 30 minutes to eat more. I FULL but I have this sensation, this need to eat! I think I’m pre-menopausal. There are 36 symptoms of pre-menopause; I have 32 of the 36 systems. Ugh… I have come waaaay too far to fall back now. I have been playing with 3-4 pounds bouncing back and forth for the last 2.5 months. That is unlike me to go that long without any weight loss. The scale is not changing much but I see/feel the difference in my waist, stomach and upper thigh area. I tried on some clothes yesterday that where too big for me and not that is not the case. I don’t understand how the scale is not changing much but my body is. Can someone who has gone through this and got it together got back on track tell me what I need to do? Every day I start over with saying no more large amounts of sugar and carbs but by 1:00 PM I’m right back at it. The moment I take my first surgery or high carb bite it triggers me for the rest of the day. Someone please help??? Have you had similar experience?

You should definitely need to see your gyn to see if you are in perimenopause. It usually starts about 10 yrs before true menopause. Try to stay away from your trigger foods and go back to basics, protein, water, logging food.

    1 month: 25 lost (194-10 day stall)
    3 months: 9 lost (173-halfway to goal!)
    5 months: 7 lost (161-1week stall)
    7 months: 4 lost (152-4 week stall)
    9 months: 1 lost (145-1 month stall)
    10 months: 0 lost (145-2month stall
    14 months: 0 lost (145-7 month stall)

My goal: 145...originally 129 but my body said no!

I am pre-menopause and the weight lost for me sucks. I also had the lap band removed in the same surgery. I am also a cancer survivor of 3 yrs so my body has been through a lot and getting sleeve, I had no complications just disappointed with slow weight lost.
