Anyone from Alberta Canada on these boards? I am currently on the wait list for a VSG with Dr Birch at the AB Weight Wise Clinic in Edm. Hoping for a May or June surgery date.

Our stats are very similar. How did your surgery go? Did you find any difficulties in the first few weeks? I am still anxiously awaiting my date!

My surgery went very well. My only problem was acid reflux. Once I got that under control it has been a whole lot easier. Day 15 I was taken off insulin. I would do it again in a heart beat.

Welcome Fat_Free! And yes soon you will be Fat_Free! Doesn't that sound exciting?!
I currently live in Agassiz, BC but lived in Fort McMurray for the last 14 years and my Hubbie still works up there.
During that time I spent lots of time travelling to Edmonton, Sylvan Lake, Red Deer, Calgary and now Cochrane where 2 of my grandkids live.
I wish you all the best in your journey.
I have not regretted one minute of mine!
