Default Powdered Protein Shake Mix Will NOT Work For Me!

So, I have tasted the powdered mixes. My husband has bought several and I always taste his, however he uses the plastic drink holder with the mixer in it and shakes it up and I cannot stand how that taste. Too gritty/powdery for my tongue, so I have determined that in order for it to really work, one needs to use a mixer and add stuff too it. TOO MUCH WORK FOR MY BUSY LIFE! I will spend the extra money to purchase a pre-mixed protein shake at least during week days. On the weekend, I will exepriment with the powder mixes and add flavorings into it, etc., ONLY if it doesn't have that texture problem that I experience. Don't need that

Yes, texture is EVERYTHING to me! Protein shakes are my struggle as well. Good luck to you!

I use Nectar which is really good. I actually shake mine up for about an hour or two so it can dissolve completely. I'm drinking strawberry kiwi and I really like it.

Just getting where I can tolerate protein shakes again. Hate the premixed stuff. I use Syntrax nectar protein powder.:-)Mixes great, no gritty pieces. My favorite is the cappucino. I mix it with a cup pf milk, ice, in the bullet and it tasted likd iced coffee which I love. The vanilla I add fruit to and get an awesom smoothie:-)

An hour? Do you mix them and let them sit for an hour before you drink them?

I haven't tried Isopure yet - Started out with Bariatric Advantage but found that slightly too thick - taste was ok. Unjury - is ok too, but favorite is Syntrax.

Someone here recommended a cyclone shaker cup and that's worked well with the thicker protein when it comes to dissolving lumps. I would say that the Syntrax dissolves all but a couple of pea size lumps. No bad mouth feel, if that makes sense.

We have all sorts here and I have never thot about ever drinking one after shaking or stirring. I have my container right beside the magic bullet, it is smooth and silky in about 20 seconds. It's like a delicious milkshake or dessert. I'm sure a blender wud do the trick too. Then just rinse the blade and container and it's ready and dry for the next one.

I use Isopure. It has zero carbs and it is actually drinkable. I use the vanilla powder to mix but I also buy the blue raspberry or grape for days I dont have time. They come in 20oz bottles and have a clear base (you can see through the bottle). I truly recommend them.
