Default off topic / post op rotator cuff repair - HURTS!

Had a planned repair of my rotator cuff yesterday - tore it I am pretty sure working with free weights in PT to deal with the horrible back surgery I had a year ago.

Miserable. I have a good supply of pain meds but can only take 1 oxycodone at a time or else I get sick.

One takes the edge off & makes it bearable but it still hurts bad. Dinner tonight - 4 bites of food and then I had to run get sick. I don't think that was overeating. I still have a boatload of anesthesia drugs in me from yesterday - feel zonked out, on top of all the pain and nausea.

I will be glad to get my arm back eventually. Wondering if my tendency to get sick is due to the tiny stomach. I wouldn't trade it for anything but it is a complicating factor. Have other sleeved people had a trouble keeping anything down after a future unrelated surgery?

Well at least with this surgery, 1 poke and the IV was in my hand. I didn't think my veins were so terrible, I was dehydrated from NPO fo this surgery too.

It may be more of a reaction to the pain meds. Some need to be taken on an empty stomach and some with food. Hopefully you will get some relief:-)
