    Default Red Meats :(

5 mos out and still can't stomach red meat. I get so sick. Lots of acid in my stomach. Oh well I am not a huge meat eater anyways. Miss drinking milk though. All in all I would do it again in a heart beat I feel so much better. So much more energy, my knees don't hurt, no more bloating, no more snoring, no more acid reflux yay! But best of all I am loving clothes again!!!!

I have a problem with beef too. Sometimes I go for some rare roast beef as one of my lunch meats but mostly I avoid it. Have you tried lactaid milk or soy milk? They might be an alternative. If you really miss a food there's usually a way to reincorporate it.

Pre-sleeve I could not eat red meat--it made me so naseous. Haven't tried any red meat post-sleeve.

I am able to eat steak in small cubes. I have no issues with meat of any sort, really, as long as I chew, chew, chew.

I am not able to eat bread or anything sugary. It gives me stomach pain and a lot of issues.

But I'm okay with that. I'd rather eat meat than bread or sugar. That was my preference pre-surgery too.

Red meat has been gross for me for many years. It is so heavy and has a gross aftertaste, so no biggy for me...

As to milk, have you tried drinking Lactaid milk? A lot of people become lactose intolerant either temporarily or permanently after having weight loss surgery.

Weight on day of surgery: 318.4 lbs
