Surgery date is 2/25/2014. I am on the 2 week liquid diet right now. The 7th night of diet I got very nervous and light headed and it scared me and I didn't know what to do. What do I do....I cheated and ate a little something and then had chicken broth and I finally began to feel better. I have been very excited and can't wait until surgery. I hope me cheating with that little something isn't going to make a difference.

Hi Debra, Im scheduled 2-25-14 also for my sleeve. Went today for my pre op appt. Ive gotten a little lite headed also a couple times. Your suger levels may be dipping a little.

You did the right thing, I had a couple of light headed loopy moments and did the same thing just ate a little protein and had the broth. No worries it wont kill the pre op diet. good luck my friend with your surgery. We are all rooting for ya!Starting weight 265

I was allowed to eat one small low-carb meal on my preop diet. And I also got lightheaded. I think you'll be just fine. Just take it easy. When you think about it, you're doing your ususal routine and taking in fewer calories. Good luck.

I doubt that cheating a little will hurt.
The purpose of the 2 week pre-op diet is to reduce the size of the liver, and the clear liquids beforehand is to make sure your stomach and digestive system is empty. I also had to do a laxitive.
