I just found out I have a degenerative disc disease plus calcium bone deposits in my hip joints. And even though I feel validated for all the whining Ive been doing, I couldnt stop the tears. I know it probably wont get any better. But I know getting this weight off will help a lot! I feel so grateful that I have this opportunity to get better when I have friends who cant afford to have this blessing. If was rich Id pay for them! This is truly a blessing.

I have what you have an even with 46 lbs gone my hips pain me an i know what has started wont go away but like you i hope it slows down the process. Thanks for posting ;0)

My mom has that. Pretty much her entire spine is bad. She had shots to kill nerves and it worked. I don't think her pain is near as bad. Sorry you have to go through this. Hopefully they can do something to help you. ((hugs))

Dana, if you get the shots, please know that while your nerves are dying, pain is a bitch. The doctor told my mom, there was no guarantee it would work, but she was desperate. Luckily it did work for her. I hope you don't get to the point of needing shots, but if you do, good luck.
