Dutchgal...We are always the last to know! I am so proud of your positive attitude. It took me one crazy year to get over the divorce, then the 2nd year was about ME!! I had the sleeve, joined a bible study group, spent lots of time with my girls, and found PEACE! After all that, I fell in love...first with myself and then with John. There are good ones out there... Enjoy your ME time.

I was Quite worried about this operation with relation to excess skin......but listening to you guys it doesn't sound a problem, have you had it removed or not as bad as i think it's going to be......very scared of that..........and with relation to the sex question i have no desire because of the way i look,or how heavy i feel, i think it's been more than 3mths, my partner says he's understanding but can't help thinking we won't survive on hugs alone. I can't wait for the op as i know it will help, but how much longer will i have to wait

Tracy, Losing weight does boost your self esteem. Buying smaller sizes and pretty undergarments always adds to your confidence. For the first time in my life, I walked into Victoria's Secret today! I was hoping something would finally fit from there! To my surprise, I found a new sexy push up bra!!! Just knowing you have something sexy against your body, will instantly make you feel better about yourself. I didn't feel sexy during my first 12 years of marriage. I wore oversized clothes and tennis shoes. I had short hair and seldom wore makeup. I was not happy with me. I asked for a divorce, but after his pleading I stayed. Something in me snapped....I changed....I let my hair grow, got mani/pedis, always wore make up, and changed my style of clothes. I discovered what kind of clothes flattered my 286 pound frame. I felt sexy!! It all comes from within. I felt good about ME and felt desirable. I am not sure if any of this will help you, but know that we are all in your corner.

Well, I have to say that losing nearly 40 pounds has made such a tremendous difference that I can't imagine how great it will be when I lose another 40! I feel so much more confident and thank goodness I lost alot of my stomach! I hated that it was in the way and how it made me feel. We feel so much closer now and we can do so much more than before. We've been together 18 years and it's better now than ever! Now he's always looking for changes in my body and comments on how baggy my clothes and even underwear are! He's wonderfully supportive and enjoying the new me. In a way he's got the same wife just a new body to enjoy! Me too!

I'm one of those girls that can't get enough, but it's tough being in a long distance relationship with a boyfriend 6 hours away in Houston. So, needless to say, when we visit, it's on.

I have to say that I have been blessed with a boyfriend that loves me no matter what. Even at my highest weight, I've never felt more loved. I mean, he is crazy about me in every way. And he's a thin little thing... like 6-foot, 140 pounds. He isn't one of those guys that are "into big girls", so I am his exception, rather than his rule. Sometimes I just can't believe it, ya know? That he loves me so much, and I'm so big?

Anyway, as far as the sex goes, we already get busy a lot. We like to experiment, and though I'm not very limber, we still work it out. He has never once made me feel bad about my size in bed, and in fact, he likes me on top! (Um, he's 140lbs and I was almost 400lbs....REALLY?!) But he wasn't scared at all of me crushing him or my gut slappin' around. And for that, he will be handsomely rewarded when all this weight comes off because I'm gonna be hanging from the ceiling fan and such!
