I've heard this it's a major problem with the sleeve. Anyone have issues and what helps?
My surgeon told me I would be on Losec for about six months. I take it every day and have no heartburn symptoms.

I was was a little worried because I already have acid reflux and the surgeon said it can get worst, so I was going to have the roux-n-y, but I have A-fib, and my primary care said, if I have that, they'll put me on blood thinners-currently take daily aspirin , and my surgeon said no n-saids after roux-n-y. They let me make the final decision and I just don't want to be on blood thinners for the rest of my life! Anyway, I didn't have acid reflux when I was thin, so I'm praying the new life style will make it go away. Thanks for the input!
I had reflux prior to the sleeve. I have no symptoms now. I take omeprazole 2x a day and will continue for several more months. I will probably to switch to Zantac at that point. I used to aspirate at least weekly. Now I don't and I don't have any pain. Glad I went with the sleeve instead of the RNY.
