Getting nervous

Mine is scheduled for the same day 2-18-2014! Today is starting to freak me out!

Just keep looking in a full length mirror to remind yourself you r doing the right thing. I watched a lot of videos on youtube and saw only successes. I had a gutsy moment and googled "i regret my vertical sleeve" I got a few hits but they were " I regret i didnt have my sleeve earlier"

Hi- I had my surgery 1 week ago Monday- I feel great.
I posted how nervous I was and so many on the site gave great encouragement- you will do great too

Cfara, how did your weightloss go, i weighed myself first time 4 dauys post op and had gained weight. What was your first week like.

Lolo2.. We were warned that we would weight more when we left the hospital this before we went in!
The reason was that they really put a lot of fluids in your body with IV's..once you leave the hospital it will take a few days for you to be able to drink the amount of fluids your body needs ... This extra fluid which we see as weight will keep us from dehydrating those first days.
I had surgery 2/5 .I weight myself today and My weight was the same as the day I went in the hospital !
Even though I knew it was fluid weight it was good to see that figure!

That happened with me too- I think it is just swelling and bloating from the surgery at 4 days I was up too.
I weighed myself today and I am 12 pounds down not even including the weight lost from the preop diet.
Wait a few days and you will see too

Hello - all went well. I saw my surgeon this morning and he's cleared me to start drinking water and then a shake for lunch. It's not as painful as I imagined it would be. For now, it's sip sip sip and one step at time.
