Here in Holland protein shakes are discouraged after the operation, but how else would you get enough protein per day?
I know Walmart doesn't carry it, I got mine from the vitamin shoppe, ordered it online. As for results, I have only had it since Friday. I am getting my 70-80g of protein daily now, which makes me feel less like wanting to "graze" or snack. I'm only down 18lbs since my surgery, but the body inches are definitely changing.
Why are the shakes discouraged? Is it all the artificial ingredients? I can appreciate that, since surgery, I've tried to "eat clean" but I can't pronounce half the ingredients in most shakes. I figure most everything I'm eating is "clean" so the shakes are just a teeny detail. LOL!
I ordered the Syntrax Nectar cappucino and have one for breakfast every morning. I mix it with milk and a cup of ice, throw it in my bullet, and it tastes like wonderful iced coffee. Ordered it from Amazon, about 32.00 for two pounds. If you have Amazon prime, ships free and get it in two days:-)

1 month: 25 lost (194-10 day stall)
3 months: 9 lost (173-halfway to goal!)
5 months: 7 lost (161-1week stall)
7 months: 4 lost (152-4 week stall)
9 months: 1 lost (145-1 month stall)
10 months: 0 lost (145-2month stall
14 months: 0 lost (145-7 month stall)
My goal: 145...originally 129 but my body said no!
My NUT discourages shakes because they want us to get protein from solid foods, not liquids. But you know what? My appetite is severely decreased and I need a better way to supplement. I need the calories too. I recently worked on upping my calories and saw a sudden 2lb loss. So I need to keep this up.
I have the Nectar fuzzy navel. Made it with water but I found that it tasted okay but a little weird so I haven't had much since. I want to use it though. I know the Crystal Lite sunrise stuff....I used to drink that before surgery. I am going to pick some up TONIGHT and try this.
Thank you.
OK, you convinced me..lol. I can't drink shakes anymore and this sounds so good. I already love Crystal Light sunrise orange so maybe I'll have some luck with this. Thanks for the suggestion. This site is SO helpful. I wish I had more time to read through everyone's posts each day!
I have a few of the sample packs and have been looking for a way to get them to be palatable. Thanks for the suggestions! I travel a lot and with this I could take my shaker and mix the fuzzy naval into my orange Zip Fizz drink.
