The holy grail of shakedom!

I have seen, agreed, commented in and wretched at the thought of protein shakes lately. I'm 4.5 weeks post-op and all that talk about taste buds changing is no joke. So, after reading up on shake reviews, I found one that folks consistently gave 5stars. I bought it, and not a few sample packs, but a 2lb jug. (Before you call me an idiot, read on!) it's called Fuzzy Navel by syntrax "nectar." By itself, it is good... But I decided to experiment. Instead of water, I mixed it with "sunrise" flavor crystal light.... The result??? I'm drinking 3 a day and meeting my protein goal without a problem! It tastes almost exactly like fresh oj, or maybe a fancy cocktail you'd get at Olive Garden. It's not "thick" and there is no obvious "vitamin" aftertaste. It mixes in a shaker cup, no need to blend. You won't believe how delicious 100 calories and 23g of protein and no carbs can really be! My lunches and breakfasts have been a boiled egg and this concoction, which I lovingly call the "trifecta juice" (protein powder, crystal light and ice)... Let me know what you think! If you lie oj, you're sure to love this!

I don't mind the vanilla and chocolate powders mixed in water...just received my order of the Fuzzy Navel yesterday and can't wait to try them. Thanks for the review- I love lemonade and grapefruit so will probably stock up on those too! Nice to have choices

I like the lemonade, but not like I love the fuzzy navel! Haha! The cappuccino is yummy too, but not so much now that I've had my surgery. Now I crave meat, fruit and veggies. I'm trying to find a bacon flavor protein powder. Had anyone found this yet?!?! LOL!

I'm definitely a fan of nectar. It's the only one so far that I've found that doesn't taste like a vitamin. I cannot stand that!

I'm there with ya! I bought a bunch of protein shots, they got old after a week. This goes down easy, and I crave it! Finally! Something to be excited over!

I just ordered the fuzzy navel. I haven't had surgery yet, still finding out what my insurance will pay. But these sound like a good way to get in more protein without carbs.

They have some flavors at vitamin shoppe, but I ordered it from vitamin shoppes site. If you go to the store an they don't have it, they'll order it and ship it got free. ��

That is so funny. I just bought some of this last night. I am having so much trouble finding protein drinks I like after surgery. I loved muscle milk powder before surgery and before I found this site I stocked up on it. After surgery I cannot get through a whole one. I returned two because of this. I can't wait to try this concoction of yours.
