I am 13 months out from my surgery and my hair loss is severe. My doctor says all I can tell you is to get in more protein. I get in around 100 grams of protein each day. I drink Unjury unflavored powder in my coffee each morning. I eat Kroger Greek yogurt each morning with nuts in it. I have something for lunch that is high in protein. I have a Premiere protein shake for an afternoon snack and then a high protein supper. My hair started falling out at four months and hasn't let up. I take Biotin daily. I also take the bariatric vitamins daily. I have always had fine thin hair, but never thought I would lose over half of my hair with this surgery. I have taken the sheng hi vitamins, had my hair cut short, using the Moroccan volumizing shampoo, but still coming out by the handfuls. I am second guessing did T do the right thing. I have lost 65 lbs. and feeling great. I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and sleep apnea. I have none of these ailments any longer. I don't exercise and I get in very little water per day. Does anyone think that could be my problem. I told my doctor that I was getting in the required 60 grams of protein when I was eight months out. He said some peoples body required more protein. That is when I bumped my protein up to around 100 grams of protein a day. Please any suggestions will help.
