Day 6 of liquid diet, Suegery on Feb. 3

Hi All, my liquid diet is going ok. SOmetimes I feel like I'm going to go nuts but I drink a shake or eat sugar free jello and get better. Hot broth also helps a good bit. My surgery is scheduled for Feb. 3 and I can't wait for it to get here. God bless you all.

I was going over the pre-op diet and it is going to be hard to go cold turkey. Only drinking protein shakes and eating a salad with protein each night will be quite a challenge. I guess if we want something bad enough it is a matter of will power and discipline. I will have surgery Feb. 24th...I have set up a food schedule 14 days prior, I am starting my preparations now. Did anyone else do the same?

We will both do fine, I have been reading so many good testimonials from Dr. Almanza's patients....I am not going to pay too much attention to stories from people I do not know personally. My friends loved Dr. A. and highly recommended hm. And they have told me that he has a clean facility. He has lots of experience, I imagine he could do the surgery with his eyes closed....

The owners of the clinic had the surgery themselves or at least one of them did. It's in a strip mall between a mattress store and a cell phone place which is a little different but the recovery hotel is nice and clean and round the clock nursing care. I went there the nite of my surgery and did nothing but sleep once they gave me something in my IV to sleep then I went to the Hotel Ticuan and went out walking around to see the shops. It's not what we are used to in the States but it works so that's what counts. You will bad reviews about any of the places. Good luck
