Default 2 Months In - 40 pounds down!

Hi everybody - I can hardly believe how great I feel (mentally, physically, and why not - spiritually)! Having less weight has really helped me to focus in on some real life goals, and I have more confidence and determination than ever before!! I can hardly believe how many changes have taken place - besides the wonderful physical feeling of being lighter (which is awesome), but also standing up for myself in ways that I never did, having people look at you with respect! And recently, another major milestone: BUYING RIDING BOOTS - THAT FIT OVER MY CALF!! I have never been able to wear them before. Even though I have small feet and am short (5'), I have tried so many on, and this weekend I walked into a Century 21, and saw a beautiful pair of black leather Ellen Tracy boots with a little heel, put them on, stood up, and proceeded to zipper (almost the entire way - still had an inch) but with 50% off - I bought those babies!! What a THRILL!! This has been one of my most happy NSV's yet!!!

I was just wondering what new and different things others have experienced at this point - including food, exercise, clothes, anything that was different then before - please share!!! I want to celebrate with you!!!

Thanks, and have a great MLK day!!!

Congrats on your success! I was sleeved a week before you and have lost 37 pounds! I feel wonderful as well. My shoe size went down half a size, I had to tighten my watchband a notch. I am 5' as well, and now my belly doesnt rub the steering wheel anymore! I have taken to wearing leggings all the time because its easier than buying new stuff all the time. My dear hubby gave me a sewing machine for Christmas so I can take my clothes in:-) I used to stretch out 1x tees and now, they hang on me. One thing I dont like is the tremendous turkey neck Ive developed. Cant wait to hit goal and have that sucker removed:-)

Excited for you! I was indeed a victory for me as well when I was able to zip up my riding boots. Just 2 months ago, I was unable to. Now I can wear them again! I'm a boot fanatic. I have a huge (over 20 pair) collection of Old Gringo Cowboy boots that are about $500 each pair, and every color riding boot you can think of, with every different heal you can think of in each color. Needless to say, my closet is full of boots and shoes! So I was very sad when I was unable to wear them due to my calf size, since I have paid a lot of money for them. So I was doing a major happy dance when I was able to wear them again so I know how you feel.

Great weightloss so far, your doing good!

    Hello curvygal and fellow NYer,

Congrats on all of your great feeling and NSVs! I know how happy you are.

Like you, I can honestly say that I've been feeling great since my surgery two weeks ago and look forward to some of the other great things still to come.

Continued best wishes on your journey!
