My surgeon. as Dr. Eric Mallico who is in Salisbury, NC. Telephone number 704-638-8631. He is wonderful. You will NOT find any better. I am just over two weeks out and quite honestly, I don't even feel like I had surgery. I am down since surgery almost 30lbs.

Thanks - I see you're right!! The incidences of illegal drug related violence preclude medical tourism to Mexico at this time. Dr Aceves would be my choice of surgeons, if that option were open. I need to find something closer to home.

I totally understand your concern there... but please be aware that this is not as big an issue in Tijuana as in other Mexican cities. TJ is a relatively peaceful place. In medical tourism, you are not exposed to any areas of the city that may be dangerous. It is a huge, sprawling city. You see very little of it and are relatively near the border the whole time. Not trying to pressure - I just think it's important know the facts as opposed to opinions based on biased media reporting and emotional responses to horrific events - it's too easy to extrapolate fears and concerns without really digging into the actual situation.
