    Default One Year Anniversary!

I can't believe today is my one year anniversary from getting sleeved. I feel absolutely amazing! When I look back at one year ago, it seems like yesterday. This year has flown by and so much has occurred. The most important thing that I did over this past year was taking my sleeve very seriously. I worked it to death to get every bit of value out of it. I read so much on the forum that the first 6 months were critical. It is true, after 6 months you do not lose as much. I followed the recommendations focusing on protein, vegetables and exercise and it WORKED!!! I have gone from 250 pounds, size 22 to 136 pounds, size 6.

Over the course of the year after various milestones I have shared my top ten NSVs for that moment. Today I will share my very best NSV's.

    10. Never weighing food (this is not for everyone). I didn't want to feel like I was on a diet. Just learned what my stomach could handle.
    9. Ran several 5K's with my husband and am currently considering a 10K
    8. No more bladder issues, yeah!!!
    7. Sex is amazing with my husband
    6. Shopping right off the rack in any store
    5. Love having pictures taken of me with my family
    4. Not feeling embarrassed of myself
    3. Knowing how much my husband loved me large and now loves me small. So lucky to have such an amazing man!
    2. Watching my children light up when people say I look good. They are so happy for me.
    1. Loving myself

Some advise to people considering the sleeve or about to get the sleeve. The sleeve is a tool that helps you through the process. You still have to make key decisions to keep the weight off. I never like people saying that surgery was the easy way out. Each and every day, I have to think about what I put into my mouth if I want to keep my weight off. This is me making those decisions, not my sleeve. I don't weigh myself everyday. I focus on eating the right foods, drinking lots of water and exercising. I can eat anything I want now, which can be scary. I just am very in tune with what my tummy can handle, so I can have a cookie, just not 6. :-) The sleeve was truly the best gift I have ever given myself. I am truly happy and love living in my shell!

Awesome post -- I am so looking forward to 1 year. I am at 7 months now and can honestly say it was the best, albeit difficult, decision I have ever made for my health. I now have a new look on life in general. Congrats on your success!!

You look amazing but even more than that your post was inspirational. I just got sleeved 10 days ago and I have been reading these forums like all day everyday and your post just gave me exactly what I needed!!! I wish there was some way to pin it or mark it so when I need a little bump or push or lift... I could read it... If there is let me know!!!
Thank you so much and once again CONGRATS

Oh my, you look fabulous! I was sleeved about a month ago and started (and hope to arrive at) similar numbers to you. One question -- do you need/want plastic surgery? If so, what areas? Again, you are stunning. Congrats - I hope that a year from now, I am able to tell a similar results story.
