Surgery tomorrow!

Hello,

My name is Carri. My surgery date is scheduled for Tue morning Jan 7th with Dr. Kim in Colleyville. I'm getting the gastric sleeve. I weighed 227 prior to my liquid diet last week. I've already lost 11 lbs and I'm looking forward to not feel like I'm starving! I'm excited for this website as a resource and for support! I appreciate your well wishes and prayers for surgery!

Hi Carri! Welcome to the group and congratulations on losing 11 pounds so far! That's awesome! Good luck with your surgery tomorrow. You'll do great! I expected the worse and it really was easy. They'll have you up and walking to help with the gas pain. Keep us posted on your recovery! We're here for you!

Hi Carri, this website is a great resource, everyone is so helpful. I'm scheduled for surgery on Wed 1/8 & I can't wait to start my new & improved life I've been on the liquid diet since the day after Christmas, it was difficult at first but not so bad now. I also gave up caffeine so it's one less thing I need to adjust to after the surgery. The diet has definitely helped prepare me for post op. Hello and welcome to the forum. I had my surgery January 12, 2013 and it was the best decision I could have made. On the date of my surgery I was wearing a 3-4 XL top and size 28 pants. Today I am down over 80 lbs, I am wearing a Medium top and size 14-16 pants.

Hi, I'm a Carrie too. Good Luck with your surgery. I was cared of being in awlful pain but I was surprized when things weren't too bad. 1st day horrible then after that, it wasn't so painful and when I came home from hospital on day 3 I didn't need much pain meds. Walk-walk-walk like they tell you and you will heal faster. I'm excited for you and wish you the best of luck!
