From Fat 2 Freezing!!!!!

This has been a great experience & journey I wouldn't change it 4 the world. After shedding these pounds I've added layers of blankets. Lol Not complaining but freezing when I was heavier I was NEVER COLD now this is something new 2 Me. Have anyone else felt this new cold front??? I live in the Finest city in the World San Diego so the weather here seems 2 be good All year long but NOT lately.

Welcome 2 the sleeved side & 4 those of you that's on the fence this was the Best decision I could of ever made 4 myself. I'm 3mos out feeling & looking Great & that includes my health. So its time 2 take your LIFE BACK & live 4 you. You can Do it, it is Possible!!!

I am laughing at your post - I am the same way with the never being cold. My husband is praying that after my surgery that we can close the windows, turn off the fans , turn up the head and be able to use blankets lol

Whenever I've dieted, I get cold. Freezing cold! I think it's because our bodies don't have enough fuel to burn so our metabolism (furnace) shuts down. I live in Florida, but the A/C can be miserable when I can't control it. Invest in a nice fleece jacket. That helps me! Also, I keep some sweater gloves at work when I have to type and can't keep my hands close to my body for warmth.

I've been so cold lately! Like you I was never cold before after losing 70lbs I need to wrap up still on the hunt for a nice thick warm coat

I am shivering 24/7 while the other half is stripping and turning on fans and cracking windows in the 30 degree weather we are having I am walking around in layers with a personal heater every where I go, including while I shower. It's insane and I dislike it! Not to mention the waste in heat and electricity!!

Question - with all the shivering going on, are our bodies burning more calories in the process? Just a thought.

I love the cold weather, being well insulated as I am. It'll be interesting to see if I run into the same issues as mentioned here.

Warm thick coat.........try lands end - I have had mine for years and it is the warmest puffy coat I've ever had! Good Luck with your search

Erin I'm totally laughing with you on this one..........do we burn any calories shivering? I don't think I've shivered in years!

oh yeah, this is happening to me too. I sit with socks and slippers on, sweat pants, shirt, sweater and a bit thermal blanket while my hubby is sitting there beside me in short sleeves. He laughs at me but understands I am just not as well insulated as I used to be.

I was reading an article the other day about cold hands and feet when loosing fat. There is increased blood flow to our fat presumably to move it to our muscles to be burned as fuel, thus it diminishes blood flow to our extremities. Sounds reasonable but didn't research it any further. Regardless, please pass the long johns.

Turn the clock back a few months, and this is me to my hubby: "OMG, it is 73 deg. in this house. I'm sweating like a pig!!! Turn the AC up, turn on the ceiling fans....where's the little fan to sit on my end table?????" Now, this is me to my hubby on a daily basis: "OMG, I'm freeeeezing!!! There is no way it is 73 degrees in here!!! I'm wearing t-shirt under sweatshirt, sweatpants, bathrobe, VERRRRY nice sheepskin slippers, and covered with sheepskin throw!!!! Let me touch your neck with my cold, corpse fingers!!!!! LOLOL"
