I signed up my 3-yr old little guy for gymnastics at my gym...so that I'm AT the gym and I've started exercising! That's BIG for me...it's been over 6 months since I've worked out. He has fun, I exercise, and then we both swim. It's been amazing to bond with him that way lately. Good luck to all you sleevers!!
I'm doing well. Feeling a little down, I feel like weight loss has slowed and not sure why.
8 weeks today! The scale has finally moved again. I think I was about 12 days and it didn't go anywhere, but then dropped 4 basically overnight yet again. It has been a rough week, I had a kidney stone and am sick, haven't been on the treadmill, but dying to have energy to get back to it sooner than later.
I am doing well. I have not had any problems so far (knocking on wood) and haven't thrown up either (which I am so thankful). I have lost 43 pounds so far since surgery. I had a one week stall about 1 1/2 weeks ago.
I started on Birth Control pills this past Sunday so we will see if they effect my weight loss much. Hoping they don't!
Keep up the great work my friends!
^^^^^^THIS^^^^^!!!!
I know I am not supposed to compare my progress to others , but i see many who have had surgery in the month of january, and who started at similar weight as me, who are having much more success!! It frustrates me.
Keeping calories at 750-850 per day, high protein ratio (at least 45% of my calories and around 90 grams), and keeping under 50 grams of carbs a day.
Only thing I think could be changed is working out more than 3 days a week-but with commute, and night meetings I frequently work 16 hour days.
Sounds like excuses (even to me), but it is my reality.
Sitting here, waiting for my husband to finish on exercise bike so i can get in some cardio before bed.
Don't want to go for a walk outside ( neighborrhood not the safest), and don't want to leave my little girl to go to the gym, as i already have two night meetings and an overnight business trip this week, and have barely seen her.
FRUSTRATED :-(
Same here sheila. I will take out a sugar free jello and have a bite and be done or i can actually eat a whole peanut butter and jelly sandwich!! That shocked me!! Last night at supper i had to bites if roastbeef which ihavent had since surgery it was so good but twobites and done!!
2 ozs. is about the limit that I can eat as far as meat goes. Anything over 2 ozs. and I feel uncomfortable. I am able to eat an entire yogurt, and that scared me the first time that it happened! Like slag, I have not thrown up one time--I have such a "thing" about throwing up, so I really try to be compliant as far as what my NUT tells me to eat.
JCarter, hang in there. You've done really well thus far.
