Appt. With surgeon!

I just got a call from NeWeigh and they have scheduled an appt for me to see their surgeon on Aug. 15th! I am so excited...this is the clinic that I had my hopes up for. I have an appt next week with my PCP to get a letter of recommendation and my records. Can y'all suggest anything else that might make the process move a little smoother and faster? I am so excited, but also a little impatient

Congrats & good luck with your appts. My daughter was also Miss Impatient but you'll be surprised how quickly the time goes by!

Haha...thanks. I am just wanting the process to go as smooth and quickly as possible. I have done a lot of research and have done so much soul searching before I made this decision, so now I just want it done...lol I know that is not the way it works, but I want to do everything I can to help the process along.

Becca, I'm the same way. My insurance has a 3 month required prep period before surgery ... and it's been the LONGEST EVER!!! My sleeve is scheduled for 9/26 ... and I'm quite certain September will NEVER come this year.

Make sure you know what your insurance plan covers before you go. Call the carrier and get the "low down". Know your plan and all of the guidelines! Know all of this before you start getting other tests etc, if your insurance does not cover surgery. Make sure they did not change their guidelines recently!

ILgal, did you decide to pursue your matter further with your insurance company?
