I am planning to have a panniculectomy 1 year after I meet goal as I already meet all of my insurance's criteria to pay for this procedure and don't anticipate this getting better after weight loss surgery as I've had two c-sections and three pregnancies and have gained weight. Maybe I'm too pessimistic but I don't see that area changing the way I want it to and shrinking up.
I'm also seriously considering having some sort of breast contouring done simply because I don't think my breasts will go back to the way they were before my weight gain. A few years ago I went in for a consult for a reduction / augmentation. Insurance said I needed to lose weight before they would considering paying for a reduction/augmentation procedure. I'm 34 so my breast tissue is still pretty dense and even at such a large size I'm not really sagging. I'm just not sure what weight loss will do to the "girls" and don't want to look deflated.
My question is -
Has anyone actually got insurance approval to pay for procedures to reduce the excess skin, etc.?
There are all sorts of how-to sites that go step-by-step on how to seek approval that I've seen on Google searches but I simply do not know anyone personally who has had insurance pay for their procedures following weight loss surgery.
