that was too funny and you know that will not happen.....but i think i know what you mean. It always seems everything that is advertise is! You will make it, we will all make it b/c this is not a gimmich or a drug it is our tool to feed the best possible!

I took a Zegerid yesterday and today RN, and I'm feeling better! Not totally better, but better. Get on some antacids and I think it will help with the stomach issue. Just a few more days and we can add in some more texture!

Any progress RN? The liquids phase of this sucks. I can start pureed tomorrow but I wish it was soft foods... This phase stinks!!!

During the liquid phase post-op, I drank the protein shakes slowly, and drank clear liquids too. I never did feel hungry. Maybe try to stretch it out a little. Good luck, hunger is one thing I fear because that is a weight-loss killer!

It's actually much better now. I started taking two prilosecs a day instead of one. The discomfort is pretty much gone. I do get hunger pangs but I can quickly silence them by drinking a protein shake. Things are going great.

Some days I am hungry all day, I always eat when I feel hungry, small amounts throughout the day, I have lost 2 pds a week steady, even when I snack all day long when hungry. Listen to your body and feed it wisely. There will be days when you are not hungry at all, it is all a part of how your body heals! Be sure and drink your 64 oz water all day long to avoid constipation. Mix up your 2 protein shakes and sip throughout the day. I mix up a large greek yogurt w/ vanilla regular yogurt for snacking. It is important to remember no drinking for 30 minutes after solid food(will avoid nausea)
The doctors rules are for good reasons.

Im 2 months out and I have the same problem I realize it's just all in my head. I messed up around Halloween I was eating chocolate now im fighting to get back on track. Do yourself a favor and stay away from junk food it sucks once you know your stomach can handle it.
