Four Days to go

Four days to go before my surgery and I'm alternating between excited and nervous. I've lost 15 pounds so far on my pre-op liquid diet, and my pantry is ready for my post-operative diet. I made a list today of what I'm going to take with me clothing wise, arrangements have been made for boarding my baby boy, come on Sunday, I'm ready to fly.

Congratulations, I am 20 days home from Mexico with Dr. Almanza and it was great. Don't expect much. It is very different from what we are used to, but it is very clean and they know exactly what they are doing. I hope you get through as easy as I did. I had a bit of a wait at the air port and the driver could not speak english. I looked at it as an adventure. Are you staying at the Hotel or at the House? I was at the Hotel and it was gorgeous . The nurses were wonderful at the Hotel and I know someone that went to the house and they said it was great too. Take very lose clothes for your tummy and get lots of steep. DON'T!!!! get the Vitamin B Shots that they try to sell you. Everything else is fine, but not the Vitamin B. The needles are too big, you have to give them in the muscle of your butt or arm or leg and it causes bruising and pain. Everyone I have talked to tell me they through them in the garbage. They just could not take the pain. You can use a good vitamin that melts in your mouth. I hope this helps. Oh, Don't forget to bring GasX strips. Good luck and best wishes for a successful surgery and and recovery! I take a sublingual B12 and the gas ex strips are a must. Not only do they help with gas, they freshen your breath too. Keep us posted!
