I'm sorry to hear that you've put some weight back on, that's one of my biggest fears. My suggestion to you is to cut back on your carb intake. Try to stay under 40 grams. I was stuck for a while where my body wasn't losing any more weight. As soon as I cut back on my carb intake and worked out a little more intense my weight started coming off again. Best of luck to you!

How much did you put back on? That would seriously freak me out. I can't imagine how I could put it back on but I know I did go fro, 98 pounds back to 110 which I needed to but my body must be ok with 110 since it's stayed here since last February or so. I guess I will see in another year and a half what happens. Dumb question here and I am sure others have thought of this but if the pouch stretched out could they do another sleeve to remove the excess again and put it back to its shrunken state?

Unfortunately no, I've asked my surgeon that question already and he said the next step would be the gastric by-pass. I know I wouldn't want the by-pass!

Nope me neither - oh well nice to know I am not the only one who thought that. Hopefully we can dial it back and keep our weight off. Hell I'm 55 years old so I don't have that long to worry about it like you younguns do LOL

I'm not interested in bypass either! I think cutting back on carbs and more intense exercise sounds like a great idea too. If you aren't using something like MyFitnessPal or another app to track with that might help too. I think I'll probably always need to measure and weigh my food to a certain extent. Good luck and keep us posted!

k_jo -- if it's any consolation you are on a normal kind of trajectory for sleeve patients. What studies we have about people after the sleeve show that the great majority of people are able to keep off 60% or more of their original excess weight. Most people have a weight gain about 3 years out from surgery and most people have their maximum weight loss at 5 years out from surgery.
So if you're getting back on the wagon, you're in good company.
Thanks for being a trailblazer for the rest of us.
Please check in and let us know how you're going from time to time.
    Warm wishes,
