First Appointment w/Surgeon--I have a date!

Today I met with my surgeon, who explained the sleeve (again) procedure and what to expect, etc. He mentioned the different specialists I needed to see: psych, cardiologist, pulmonary, gastro and NUT. When he asked me about dates, I told him that I was off from work for two days at the beginning of Nov. He said "oh no, that's too soon, how about January?" I said "are you talking about a surgery date? He said yes, how's January 13th??? I was thinking that he was discussing dates to meet with the specialists! So that's my date, January 13, 2014. I think I'm still in shock that he gave me a date so fast! Tomorrow I'm going to start calling the specialists to make appointments. My nutrition appointment has already been scheduled for Nov. 6th. I'm terrified, nervous and excited all rolled up into one!

Congrats. I got my date today too. Nov 19th. My consulation was Sept 13th, had the psych on Sept 21st and just found out today that I was approved. I start my 2 week liquid pre-op on Nov 5th.

That's the date I'm shooting for as well! Although they're not promising me that date until I've got all my pre-op assessments done. So, like you, I will be hopping from one appointment to another between now and January!
