    Smile 3 months post op

Oct. 15 marks my 3 month mark. It has been a long hard road and it's still tough ever day. I am glad to announce I am UNDER 200lbs. I am a proud 198lbs. When this started I asked myself wtf did I do to myself?? Now that im getting use to the change in life style, I feel better. My pressure, is now normal, my sugar is normal, and im slowly getting my energy back. I still get depressed from time to time, when im eating something REALLY GOOD and cant finish it. Than I put on my size 14-16 clothes and remember what it was all for. My question for the group is how do I celebrate this mile stone? I havent been under 200 since freshman year (im now 29). Shopping is out of the question cause I still get anxiety trying on clothes.

Why don't you buy yourself a really nice purse or some shoes? I'm planning on buying a pair of Tori Burch boots when I reach 50 pounds lost.

For me just putting on a pair of 14-16 pants would be celebration enough! I will be so happy to throw out my plus sized clothes and never go back to those stores again! Congrats!

WooHoo you're doing awesome! If I ever get out of the "tent size" department I'll be screaming all over the store. Go ahead and treat yourself to something nice. You deserve it!!!

I cleaned out my closet when I hit my first goal. I cleaned out everything I haven't worn in the last year because I hated the way it fit or it was too big because I used to buy my clothes HUGE. Now everything in my closet is either a little big or fits, or is still waiting for me to shrink into it, but 3 garbage bags and 2 huge boxes taken to the good will and it's like I have a whole new wardrobe. I loved trying on clothes I hadn't worn or even seen in years. Makes me happy I am a hoarder!!!

Buy something nice for yourself that isn't clothing, jewelry, shoes, purses, or something you have always wanted for your house!!

Congrats! I plan on pedicures for days to celebrate! That is another lifestyle change also, finding new things to do besides "eat to celebrate". Not easy I know. I wish you the best of luck. You are doing great!

Thanx guys. It feels good to be at this point. I was having such a hard time adjusting. I was really regretting this decision, but little my little it got better. A mani, pedi, and massage sounds perfect!!
