Unhappy Boy!; do I need encouragement.

    Hi fellow losers,

I have not posted in forever. Sorry about that. I've been discouraged. I have lost 95 lbs total, and that's so awesome to me. I'm very happy about that , trust me. But, I feel like I'm losing control again, and I'm sooooo scared. Carbs are all I think about; I want to cry, for real.

    Things I'm doing:

Drinking some water every day, not enough.
Eating protein, about 60 a day. Not consistent. Getting too many carbs.
I don't feel satisfied. After 30 minutes of eating I feel hungry, or "head hunger". grrrrrr.

I guess I need to eat very low carb again. Just don't have energy when I do that. Whahahaahhahah!

Advice from those who know would be greatly appreciated.

I know I have no business posting since I'm just 3 weeks out, but I do want to say congratulations on your success thus far and that you can totally get back on track! Once you kick the carb habit, it no longer haunts you. It is just so hard to take those initial steps. Look up cool and new interesting recipes like making french bread pizza but replacing the french bread with hollowed out zucchini. I got a whole bunch of ideas from Pinterest when I was studying up the procedure. You can do it! You can do it!!

Kim-Thank you for your encouraging words. I believe I can do it. I swear I don't understand why it is so hard, I have been doing awesome up till about 3 weeks ago and my weight-loss stopped. I know one thing is for sure, I will not go back to that place before surgery. No way!

are you still taking your vitamins? the low carb is where you need to be. Extra B12 will help the energy. Either pill or shot form. If its that bad maybe you should go for the shot! You can do this! You did it for 95 lbs, you can continue. You have proved to us all you know what to do........ best of luck to you

95 lbs is a HUGE success!!! Take the success and use it. I have heard something about a pouch test, I am not entirely sure what that is but is that something that would help you???

Cindy , I can see you now ....your picking yourself up and moving forward... A suggestion I would make is that you give the 5 day pouch test a try . I have heard a lot have used it and reset there sleeve restriction back to how it was after surgery ...I wish you best of luck and also would like to add your my fitness pal ...I swear by this program it helps me keep on track with food calories and protein and helps me stay accountable !

Thank you guys. Tina-I would love to do the 5DPT with you, and anyone else that would like to as well. Send me note when you are ready.

Granna-I just had blood work done and it showed I have way too much B12, but I'm low on Vit A.

I feel my restriction is still good. It's about head hunger and I know it. Also, when I eat carbs I crave them so horribly. Have to go back to low carb. I feel the 5DPT would reset me back to fat burning mode.

I haven't even been sleeved yet, so take this with a grain of salt. Some people I think can tolerate carbs better than others, I know if I stay away from pretty much all refined carbs I don't crave them. If I break down and have a pop tart or a few bites of dessert it gets me on a bad cycle (which I am fully in right now) and I get the carb cravings / sugar high and then crash. Then I feel like I need more sugar to pick me up because I'm dragging.

If you could just go long enough, eat protein & get your water in I bet the carb cravings would be a lot less. The detox period from the carbs is tough but once you are through it, it's worth it. Good luck, don't give up. You've done so well and sacrificed so much to get where you are now.
