surgery with Dr. Ramos Kelly

Hey is anyone going to Mexico and having surgery with Dr. Ramos Kelly Aug 8th or 9th? I am having surgery on the 9th and just wanted to meet others that are scheduled for these dates. I would love to meet up with you when there. Im not sure yet if I am going alone or with a friend, she is having some problems at home so now I may go alone. I am scared!!! Never left the country on my own before, I always went with others.

i youtubed my doctor & came up with lots of his paitents reviews, remarkes & results.....i feel well informed now & with the encouraging remarks of others i think i am confident in my doctor...its a good idea to do as much research as u can it makes everything better.

thank you for your suggestions! I am going to check it out right now. I have done so much research I am getting over whelmed! I just want to be sure that I am doing the right thing,, everyone is against me going to Mexico to have the surgery, but I have to do for me for once. Did you have Dr. Kelly?
I am very nervous and scared to death, I may have to go alone which scares me even more!

I am going to sched with Dr. Almanza monday...i am satisifed that i am well informed. I just checked Dr. Kellly he seem good too. My doc is less cost & i'm liking that alot. Don't let people urn u off...i stopped telling people unless they know how detremined a person i am, but even at that most express fear becuz they didn't do the research...& don't know about the doc u choose. u have to do it for u not for them...they have thier own lives & can't live yours for u

I was going with Dr Almanza but because of all my medical issues I need to have surgery in a hosptial. But he had great reviews also. Good luck!! when are you having surgery?

Hey guys, this is Kristen. I had surgery with Dr. Kelly on the 12th of may. Am doing great and am down 37 lbs in 2 months, started at 205. You have made a wise choice to go to dr. Kelly. He does his surgerys in a hospital in Playas de tijuana called Oasis of hope, unlike dr. almanza, please don't be fooled, almanza is in a strip mall in a very small -shady looking facility. It is not a hospital as you and I know it. I saw it first hand. Almanza definatyly does many surgerys and has had many successes, so not to say he is not good and I certainly appreciate that he is helping people , but Dr. Kelly is great in my opinion. Going to tj is not a problem, you will have a guide and its kind of fun down there, not at all scary. Feel free to ask me any questions. I need to go down to see dr. Kelly soon, maybe I could hitch a ride with one of you guys and also give you some moral support.

If you contact Dr. Kelly, I'll bet he'd get a price that is good for you, he is not that much more and he is so worth it!!! The hospital is beautiful and clean and he has a squeaky clean record and backround. After going down there and seeing it all, I would feel more comfortable with Dr. Kelly. He really cares about his patients!!

With all due respect, I must defend Dr. Almanza. His clinic may be small but it is emaculate, well-staffed, secure, and as modern as any hospital. The care I received was far superior to any US hospital. My surgery was totally uneventful; I did not require pain meds, after the IV was removed on day 2. The recovery house is VERY clean and the staff turns themselves inside out to make you feel comfortable and at home. I could not have asked (or paid more) for a better experience...I'll be going back next year, not for a required follow up (why?) but for a tummy tuck, if needed!

Thank-u MrsPiggy549 for your input. I feel secure with the choice we both came too. the staff is amazing i've been on the phone with them lots. I'm excited about my upcoming sept 05 date with Dr. Almanza's clinic & housing unit. I defend the right to other peoples choices also becuz thier research brings them to the Dr. they feel confidence in. I will be getting eyelid surgery at the same time. Do u kbow if i can use my mastercard or visa at the ramada usa side?

I have heard wonderful things about both Drs, and I feel good about the choice I made. Dr Kelly is about $1000 more than Dr Almanza, but he does fewer surgeries and you spend more time in the hospital and at a nice hotel (which comes out of that $1000)... With Dr Kelly you spend 5 nights, I think with Dr A you spend 3 or 4? (which for some people is a real concern - they may need to be back sooner for something ) It just depends on which you are comfortable with. I think I would have been perfectly fine with Dr. Almanza too, though going with Dr Kelly made it seem like a little more of a vacation (well worth the extra money ). The only other difference I can think of is that Dr Kelly doesnt use stitches that have to be removed - so I needed no follow up care at all once I got home and didnt have to take out my own stitches. Actually, that wouldnt have bothered me at all, but I know for some people that might be a deal breaker! Learn all your options, talk to people who have actually gone to that doctor before making up your mind. And this is a competitive business, so its probably best to take what people who went to a different doc say with some healthy regard - use their comments to come up with more questions to ask that doctor, not to make any decisions about him.

Are you referring to your San Diego hotel bill? Sure you can use a credit card. As for your surgery, you will pre-pay, before you leave for San Diego, or bring with you a certified bank check...I used paypal; very easy and no info divulged!
