Default Did you have a "what have I done?" moment?

just like it says, did you have a moment after surgery when you thought you had made a terrible mistake? Please tell...

Nope. Not even when I was awake all night dry-heaving right after surgery.

Yep i did about two weeks out when i thought i could actually eat something after two weeks of fluids, and i felt like i was choking...i honestly thought i would be like this for ever, but now almost 5 weeks out each day gets better and easier and the fact the binge eating issue is gone, i feel it is the best thing i ever did for myself...its just an adjustment is all.

On the way home from the hospital the day after surgery we passed a billboard on the highway for a McDonalds extra value meal. I saw the picture of the meal and it kind of hit me hard that I would never be able to eat what was in that picture again. I don't even like McDonalds, but it was more about the quantity in the picture.

I felt that way only once. The day I was released from the hospital and went to my mom's house and she was cooking up a huge meal while I was having those those 2 sips of fluid every hour. It quickly passed though and I've never regretted my sleeve again

Yes a couple of different times in the last month. But they were little moments and then the feeling passed. For me it was the head hunger at about 2 weeks out. I was mad that I would have to stop eating when emotionally I wasn't ready to stop! But that has gotten so much better in the last couple of weeks. I just make sure I really enjoy my few bites at each meal.

My sister had some dehydration issues right after her surgery and so she definitely had some of those thoughts. I have had them from time to time when the head hunger gets to me and i miss things like steak fries and rice and pasta and soda but then I remember that those things got into this mess to start with lol. Just hang in there its normal and it will get better.
